Trading Rules

Clear, fair rules — enforced exactly as written. Every limit is shown as a percentage and a dollar figure, so you always know where you stand. The standard evaluation rules below apply to every evaluation; when you trade your own limits, your numbers replace the MLL and profit target.

Two ways to trade
Trade Our Limits
The standard T4T plan — 7.5% Max Loss Limit, 10% profit target. Set structure, same for every evaluation.
Trade Yours
Choose your profit target (5%–20%) — your Max Loss Limit is automatically 75% of your target (e.g. 10% target → 7.5% MLL). Lower targets available.

1. Maximum Daily Loss

Your equity must never drop below the daily loss limit at any point during a trading day (00:00 to 23:59 server time). This includes both realised and unrealised losses.

  • 2.5% of the initial account balance

2. Maximum Total Drawdown

Your account equity must never fall below the maximum drawdown threshold at any time during the Evaluation. The floor is set at 92.5% of your starting balance and locks there permanently — it does not trail down as you lose.

3. Maximum Open Position Risk

The combined risk of all open positions must not exceed the open risk limit at any time. Risk is measured as stop-loss distance × volume, netted per symbol. A position opened without a stop loss is treated as unlimited risk.

4. Stop Loss Required

Every open position must have a stop loss at all times. A position without a stop loss is an immediate breach — the account is closed, no grace period. This is non-negotiable.

  • Required on every position

5. Profit Target

To pass the Evaluation you must reach the profit target while remaining within all risk parameters. There is no time limit — you can trade at your own pace.

  • 10% of the initial account balance

6. Minimum Trading Days

You must trade on at least 5 different calendar days to pass. This ensures your result reflects consistent skill, not a single lucky trade.

  • 5 profitable trading days

7. No Time Limit

There is no maximum time limit to complete the Evaluation. We are not trying to rush you into blowing the account — take the time you need to trade your plan.

  • Unlimited

8. Trading Freedom

All strategies, Expert Advisors, algos and manual trading are allowed. News trading is fully permitted. Trade any instrument, any style, any session.

  • Fully open

9. Prohibited Practices

The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate disqualification:

  • Latency arbitrage, quote stuffing, or market manipulation
  • High-frequency trading (HFT) strategies
  • Copy trading between Traders4Traders accounts or external traders
  • Using multiple accounts to circumvent risk limits
  • Hedging between related accounts or external positions
  • Any form of insider trading or trading on non-public information

10. Funded Account Rules

Pass a Funding Evaluation and your funded account is set up on the exact plan you set — same Max Loss Limit, daily loss cap, profit target, risk per trade, and risk/reward ratio. If you have no plan set, the standard evaluation limits apply:

  • Maximum daily loss: 2.5% of initial funded balance
  • Maximum total drawdown: 7.5% of initial funded balance
  • Maximum open position risk: 2.5% of equity
  • Stop loss required on every position
  • No profit target required — focus on consistent, profitable trading
  • Minimum 5 trading days between payout requests
  • Excessive risk-taking may result in account review or termination
Important: These rules are enforced automatically by our risk engine and match the limits applied to your account. Rules are subject to change; it is your responsibility to review the current version before and during your participation. Contact support if you have any questions.
